Byron, Illinois Milwaukee RR Depot Rams Horn Insulators under the eves of this now demolished depot. I took this photo in 1971 or about that date. I tried to cut the solid oak crossarms, but they were as hard as nails. That was some time before this picture was taken. I figured it was not worth getting them. The demolition crew man got them. Oh well..

It was a shame that this long lost building went to the way side. Wouldn't it be a neat tourist attraction now just to see what the past was like ..The building would make a nice museum now.
