Byron, Illinois Milwaukee RR Depot Rams horn Insulators..I took this picture in 1971 just before the depot was going to get tore down. I asked the demolition guy for the ramshorn insulators and what a grouch..He almost had the roof collapse on him while he cut away at the cross members. I almost thought he deserved it for his selfishness ...There were 4 sets of 2 of the insulators...I guess he had to get something for the fruits of his labor..At least I did get a photo of the rams horns...Also the telegraph and power lines are gone now too...A lot of Whitall tatums ambers 512-U were from the top two wires that powered the signals..Also note the 56 Chevy in the background on the right......enjoy...
