Here is a side and base view of two similar wooden trolley insulators used in San Fransisco. The upright one retains much of its original paint. The right hand one has much of its underside paint, but little of its exterior paint. I really like the wooden trolley insulators with their paint. To me the refinished ones are ruined, totally. Nice pair of historic SF trolley relics.
