I like to cruise the local antique shops every few weeks and last week I was lucky enough to come across some great deals. Insulators (from left to right): an aqua CD 252 Knowles/M&E Co., a wide groove Hemi mouse sans Hemingray embossing, a milky CD 113 Hemi, a green 154 McLaughlin, a sky blue 154 McLaughlin with polliwogs and milk swirls, and an aqua CD 154 Lynchburg. Cool! I also found a complete Lionel train set. This is set 1469WS from 1950-51. It includes the Pennsylvania 2-6-4 K-4 Pacific #2035. For you toy train buffs, the 2035 was the only postwar K-4 to have magnetraction. It has a smoke unit, three position E unit, and the 6466W whistling tender. The kit also came with the original 90 watt transformer, original O27 track, and the original four cars produced in 1947-1950. After more than fifty years, a little bit of cleaning and TLC brought this puppy back to life. It runs great on my layout and will pull just about anything! |
