4 kv distribution and installations like this one are rapidly disappearing owing to a rather aggressive upgrading program here by National Grid. This pole will be swapped out *any* day now. In the next photo you will clearly see the new pole right up against the old one. The crossarms, equipment on them and possibly the transformers date to around 1965.
