Along this picturesque New England roadway are numerous cottage style homes along with a six-pin, double-crossarm telephone line serving these residences. I believe many local or subscriber lines in Maine before 1920 utilized six-pin crossarms as seen here judging from the many photos I have seen (and this is one of my favorites, too!).
