Along the left are some pretty primitive telephone line poles. On the right the taller ones were for electric distribution with the somewhat shorter line following it probably for telephone service as well.

One only knows how many specially-colored glass insulators were used in situations like this whereby multiple circuits probably were either owned by different companies or for specific line wire identification.
