Here is a real Lenny Philbrook special. Lenny was well known for breaking colors down into the most minute of shade distinctions in his very long lineups. My brother spotted this piece while visiting Dan Spanton a while back and Dan was kind enough to bring it to our Spokane show for me to see. It is a very washed out green .... a color I can only describe as "lemon-lime". In sunlight or just about anywhere out of a lineup it looks just drab .... kinda off-clear, dirty, greenish. It didn't help that it was lightly covered in soot when he brought it. We agreed on a price and I popped it in the acid overnight. Still not a very impressive piece outside a lineup, but a decidedly odd color for a C.G.I.Co. I don't get to add new pieces to this group of mine very often, so it is a happy thing. Only drawback, ...... I now have about 10 colors that cannot fit on the shelf. Looks like it is time for a dedicated C.G.I.Co. case !
