On our way to the Dixie Jewels Swap Meet yesterday 5-16-09, My brother, my son and myself along with friends Corey and Jeremy Schiffer came across an old line still standing along the railroad tracks near Cartersville Georgia. After attending the swap meet, we decided to go back to the tracks and do a little hunting before heading home. We found some neat pieces, nothing really rare, but had a blast walking the tracks and making the finds. Each pole was about 50 feet apart and still standing in some sections, but were grown up and old, with weeds and such hiding any glass left on them. Luckily, there was glass still left, as the pictures will show!! Perfect weather made for a great day!!
