Classic "inverted cone" reflector-style street light on the left. If you look closely you will see a break-arm bracket on the crossarm above which terminated the wires in each direction. From each deadended connection a pair of wires extended down to the street light for its series operation.

Also note the short telephone open wire pole with four 10-pin crossarms on the right.
