Fred Locke may have been the first porcelain manufacturer to offer a porcelain signal insulator. As far as I know I have never seen a porcelain signal of any type in a cataloug older then 1903-04 when these were made. Note the mold line and oblivious Fred Locke glaze... a small number of these have been found in both brown and white but they are very scarce.
