Myself and my hunting partner Todd were in our hotel room that we only arrived at around 12:30 AM. I was already in bed exhausted after a long days hunt when suddenly there was a loud rumbling noice outside our room. Todd replied that he thought it was a Harley Davidson just arriving. At first I accepted his explaination against my first thoughts that it sounded like a train going by. Guess I wasn't convinced of my own thoughts because the room was not shacking like on the epidsode of I LOVE LUCY when a train shook Ricky and Lucy's honey moon suite. Anyhow, the noice continued and I thought if that was a motor cycle the owner sure was a rude and inconciderate person letting his bike run like this when people were trying to sleep. After making this point with my room mate he decided to investigate the situation. While doing so he was very surprised that my own first impressions of the disturbing noice was correct. There was a train passing right behind or hotel room. Not even fifty feet away. The following morning at 7AM we started out on our backyard hunt. At about 8:30 AM we returned with about the same amount of CD 145 Sharp Drip Point Lynchburg No. 43's pictured here. My share of a three day long distance hunt. We were about twelve hundred miles away from our homes in upstate NY. |
