Available for purchase tonight is an absolutely amber-filled Brookfield 102. Not so enough for the piece to be called "olive amber", but enough for it to be deemed a spectacular colour interplay between the classic Brookfield dark aqua shade of the post- 1900 years, and a deeper, less characteristic shade of brown amber! The photos of this piece simply do not do it justice! The majority of the amber is concentrated in the front half of the insulator, with a large swath running up across the front dome and dome top, and then several, smaller, swirling swathes running throughout the front skirt, behind the embossing. There are also quite a number of pieces of fire brick, and several bubbles in this piece. Displaying this one in a back-lit cabinet (which I do not have at this time), would set it apart from the dreary masses of Brookfield-made insulators from this era. This is one spectacular insulator! The condition leaves almost nothing to be desired, as well. Unlike most of these SDP'd Brookfield pieces, this one has almost no chipped drips! As a matter of fact, there is only ONE chipped drip, half sliced-off, on the rear half. There are two drips with open bubbles protruding on the front half (one of these is visible beneathe the first "O" in "BROOKFIELD". I'm asking $50.00 U.S. plus shipping for this one. You won't regret the purchase price. It is, without doubt, among the best amber-filled Brookfield pieces I have ever owned. It took a lot of thinking to part with it! I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
