This vintage truck was used by the Southern Heat Light and Power Company. Unknown location. The boys on the truck seem ready for a parade. Everyone is wearing a cap! The back of the photo is marked: " Photo Products Co. Leader Bldg---431 Fifth Ave. When you need a photographer call Grant 3399J" Purchased from eBay several years ago.

Mike Parker of Garibaldi, Oregon was able to provide the following: "Members of the American Truck Historical Society identified the truck in the photo as a circa 1914 CURTIS, made in Braddock, PA. They only made trucks from 1912 to 1916. I have found the utility name on the truck, Southern Heat Light & Power Co., to have operated not in the southern USA, as the name implies, but the southern hills of Pittsburgh PA.! Carnegie PA. is one of the towns they serviced and the photo is likely a parade in McKeesport, PA. which would have the downtown 431 5th Ave. address given on the back of the photo. It's certainly logical that a Pennsylvania utility would have a truck made in Pennsylvania."
