This pole was the motherlode pole of St. Louis fire alarm glass, holding 24 pieces. I took this picture on 2/16/2009. Sometime in the last couple days this pole was stripped of its glass. I noticed this today. I got curious to see if the pole around the corner, which held 12 insulators, two of which were CD 202s, still had its glass. The 202s were gone, but the rest were still there. Apparently there is someone, presumably armed with a bucket truck, who has been taking these down recently. Seeing that only the 202s were missing from the 35 foot tall pole at a busy intersection, it also appears this person knows what they are looking for. I'd like to meet the person doing this, just out of curiosity.
