Street lamps and other early things in LA

This picture says it all !!! This is the same lamp as in the previous photo there are two CD 162 HG's on the arms with a guy bob in the center as the break insulator with the high voltage leads strung directly to the lamp. Note the fiber optic cables below the arm. this lamp is one of several hundred in this area still in service . the arm supporting the lamp is a long chunk of ordinary gas pipe strapped to the cross arm .
