Removing the gingerbreads from the bracket

Plaster is the most common way of fixing the insulators to the bracket. Fortunately for collectors it's easily softened by water. A couple of nights earlier we left a bunch of gingerbreads behind this tree to let the water weaken the plaster. Now it's simply a matter of using a long thin screwdriver to poke out the plaster.

In the distance is the railway we hunted for the gingerbreads.
