The red winged blackbirds were out in force today. I also saw four blue herons, 6 wood ducks (three pairs), a few mockingbirds and a pair of hooded mergansers. Summer is well on it's way!

As for the hunt, I ended up coming home with three CREB CD 145s, including a "FAB" error piece. I also picked up a few other odds and ends... will post up a picture soon.

The disappointment for the day? Five minutes into the hunt I pull a 152, for some reason. It turns out to be a Hemingray No. 40 with ROUND DRIPS. I stash it off to the side near this little bridge to pick up on the return trip. A few hours later, I come by to see two teenage boys on the bridge throwing rocks into the creek. The insulator was gone (on the bottom of the creek, I assume). I didn't know if the insulator's rarity at the time, so I didn't say anything and just kept going. The creek wasn't too deep, so maybe I will go back soon and see if I can fish it out.
