My mud finds from the '09 Seattle show. L to R : A piece I have always thought was ugly as hell, .... I just noticed it kinda looks like a little pony type set up on a special pedestal. A bottle digger had a pair of these for $5 each, but I got there too late and one was already spoken for. ~ The Fred tramps were used along the GN's coastal mainline between Bellingham and the BC border. I didn't like mud back when I was a kid, but this shape was too intriguing to pass up and my friends and I packed many of the better colored ones home. I am probably buying back the same ones I sold 30 years ago ! ~ This orb-domed dry process unit is just like one my brother and I found as a fence post ornament in the fall of 1972. The one we found was a metallic silvery finish over brown. He has it to this day. I just now found another ! ~ The last one is just one of those fat, ugly little Lima ponies in a nice chili-cheese glaze. Can't have too many ugly little ponies, now can we ? All this for under 50 bucks. One more reason mud ees goot ! |
