I've posted these before, as have other Ontario collectors, as they tend to be found up here in the frozen North. However, I really think they deserve more credit than they get, being some of the nicest "snow globe" insulators you can possibly find. This piece certainly is a nice one all throughout the dark aqua, late generation Brookfield-coloured glass can be found thousands of tiny specks of fire brick - apparently in the later days of Brookfield's manufacturing, the employees stopped worrying quite so much about whether they changed the fire bricks in due time or not. A lot of this later Brookfield stuff had real problems (or blessings!) with this. The insulator is a [040] No Name CD 152, with a blotout behind the "0" in "40". There doesn't seem to be any real damage to this one, short of some nibbling to the inner edge of the inner skirt. This one is clean and shiny as the day it was made. I doubt there are too many out there in better shape than this. I'd call it VVVNM. I'm asking $11.00 U.S. plus shipping for this "snow globe" beauty. I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best! |
