Here's another of the fellows that recently came out of service here in London, Ontario. The insulator itself isn't too special, save it having been a faithful workhorse for London Hydro for well over 70 years. It's a Hemingray - 20 CD 164, the [040] embossing. What's special is the incredible tie-wire still wound around the thing from service all those years ago! The line wire is of heavy, No. 1 copper wire, with the tie being quite a bit thinner. Both still retain part of their original cloth covering (and, no - no asbestos!).

The damage on this piece is limited to a 1/4" flake off the rear inner skirt, and a tiny bit of nibbling around the sharp base-plate mould line. Still dirty and covered in that great tie wire, this one is guaranteed to spruce up your collection with an educational addition, showing how all these nicely coloured chunks of glass were used!

I'm asking $15.00 U.S. plus shipping for this incredible unique piece! I accept PayPal, and personal cheques or money orders from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me for more photos, or with any questions. I encourage you to look through my "For Sale (Not Sold)" stock, and combine items to save on shipping. All the best!
