Unusual piece. I suspected a wire splice insulator and it has patented Mar 21 1911/ May 26 1916 with C/H logo at the bottom. What this really is, IS a suspended pendant push switch. Glaze is a darker, splotchy sage green grey and is a nicely designed 2 piece nutshell design with original guts and bottom is closed. This is not a light socket.
