This icy scene is just outside our back door and is a sort of 'staging area' for the insulators I have been recently been saving from destruction. From here, stuck pins are removed and set aside. Insulators will get cleaned and grouped according to type, color, size, etc. This little goup represents about two weeks worth of work. You'll notice even the modern gray ones get a second chance. There are Lapp cables, OB 2 pc, Locke 1244's, Pinco's, BBC's and so on. When the weather improves, I hope to expand this group. I would rather see collectors get ahold of these than let them get junked. Even that Versatile in the background has carted home a lucky insulator or two.
