Here are two types of 2 piece gray multiparts which have been taken out of service recently. The left is a BBC which is dated 1981. The one on the right is HTE (I think that's right) no. 29773 with a faintly mottled gray coat. They both have the radio top treatment; the right piece has a dull brown region just below the black finish.
