This is an old line I spotted from the truck as we drove by on the freeway. I quickly got very excited and was jumping up and down in the seat saying " GLASS ON OLD POLES!! GLASS GLASS YOU SEE that?? oMYGOSH! MY friend "Indiana Plow boy" he calls himself, Looked at me as though I had lost my mind. I quickly talked him into taking me to check the old line out by saying "Get me over there I gotta look I gotta take some pics! In California, old poles with glass still on them are rare. I did manage to pick up on whole insulator with the copper wire still attached sitting beneath one pole. I soooooo wanted to go back and build a insulator grabber right then. But I didn't have time before I flew home.
