This was a, excellent hunt, we went to three different lines, the former great western, where we found a G.N.W. TEL. CO. CD 145 while probing under the first pole, we also found a 7-up bottle, which if I ever own a 7-up green insulator, I will display with it. We also found a badly chipped Hemi-42, but still one of the best condition ones I've found. several poles up we found an R-5 bracket, and another pole up, a broken crossarm with a four-part transposition bracket containing 4 unmarked rubber spools. > then we went to a local CN-line, just down from where we had gone hunting once before, and we found two battery oil bottles, an N.E.G.M.CO. CD 145, a Brookfield "b" Beehive, three CAN PAC's, a porcelain signal with a nice grey glaze, and a No-Name Canadian CD 152 No 40, and a coke bottle. We also found a pair of eneral Electric lightning arrestors, one of which is missing it's rubber cap. > We then went a bit up the road to a line where all the poles are cut down, and the crossarms, full of insulators, are cast aside. here we found my first H.K. PORTER plastic replacement insulators, a Brookfield "B" CD 145, a Dead-end spool, and a Dominion - 42 CD 155 with the date "67" on the back which is the latest I wave seen, what about you? what's the latest you have on a Dominion - 42 CD 155? We also found a Smooth base Diamond CD 154 on a crossarms, which I think is kind of neat.
