A few years ago i decorated one of my block signals with lights. This year i did it to my crossing gate. It took 6, 100 light strands to cover it. Along with zip ties, clips, and duct tape. The gate can still raise and lower even with them on. It looks better in person than in the photo. Since then i put some blue ones on my baggage cart also.

Quite possibly the first time a crossing signal has been decorated with lights. :P
