This is a photograph of an original ink & graphite drawing of the Hamilton Glass Co. that sold at an auction in April 2008. The artist was standing at the north-west corner, looking south-east. This must have been drawn some time before 1898; an 1898 plan shows that the brick building containing the second furnace on the left had been converted to a packaging room. The two wooden structures on the right were for "storage of glass in boxes". UPDATE - this drawing was sold again by auction in Jan 2010 |
