Here is a nifty ole tramp arm. This is not a chunk of arm, but the whole arm. These were made to mount parallel to the line on the side of a pole, so that you only needed this arm, not an arm and a metal bracket to make the transposition. I saw a few of these in southeast Missouri back in the early 1980s, but have not seen this construction in a long time. As a kid, I always thought someone should go up the pole and straighten these out, thinking they were mounted wrong. Most are probably gone around here now, sadly. The two Hemingray 56s are from 1949, and both are in good shape, aside from a very small flake on the top of one of them. The arm is also marked 49 with the Joslyn brand on it. This would make a great addition if you like insulators, if you like tramps, if you like Hemingray 56s, if you like things from 1949, if you..... well, you get the idea. Shoot me $20.00 plus shipping. It's a cool little piece. |
