The power cables that electrified these lines probably ran through insulated conduit as seen pararelling the trackage. Opposed to running under-catwalk cables (between the incoming/outgoing rails) as was sometimes done in Boston utilizing CD 267, CD 267.5 and large white "saddle" cleat-style white porcelain insulators.
