Related or not ? This shot shows several Fathead mould family variants with different skirt plates used alongside a short, fat variant of the Harloe marked 102. It appears that the dome portion of the mould may be common to all, with either mould work or new parts used to get changes in wire groove depth and skirt profile / height. The two Stars on left most resemble the stout and more straight skirt profile of the Harloe, while the two on right have the tall, slender concave skirt profile. Remachined or just similar ? We'll never know for sure. |
