Photograph of the Mount Washington, New Hampshire observation post atop the forementioned summit. This is the highest peak in New England. Continuous reports of weather conditions atop this mountain were telegraphed around the world via the iron wire that closely pararelled Mount Washington's famous cog railway for many years.

Weather and related information have continued to stream from this location to this day. Through the decades more wind-resistant observation structures were constructed, having with state-of-the-art communications and weather-data retrieval.
