The latter can be readily seen on the right ....and with the multi-crossarmed poles, you can betcha there were LOTS of glass insulators used here! Most likely these were telephone circuits along with the single, 10-pin poletop crossarm line that you see extending along the left (the lower crossarms on the left probably were for electric lighting distribution).
