Here's another example of why anyone out there scratching around where old telegraph lines were....should check out both sides of the track! Clearly seen is an ERR line photographed about 100 years ago with six-pin crossarms on each side of the railway. The scene is along the Deleware River in Hancock, NY. One can only imagine what insulators got re-used upon these "threaded" lines!!
