Enclosed electric arc lights for street lighting service like this one pretty much hit their demise by the teens in favor of more efficient tungsten lightbulbs as we know them today. Here is a nice view of an enclosed arc light in a Maryland residential community in 1912. The two wires leading to the fixture were supported by the (more clearly seen) pin-bracket assembly that's immediately above this light fixture vertically holding two insulators.
