Not So Fun Stuff

With much regret, instead of making Springfield this year, I will be getting a stout workout with a shovel digging sewer trenches and other good stuff in preparation for building my shop. The gardens have all been removed. The photo shows the sifting operation, where the top foot of soil has been scraped to get down to the ugly rocky stuff below. All the sifted rock will be used to bed the new driveway to the right. With the slab in, the garage in back will be moved forward and placed there (out of the way). Once removed, the trenches for the new water and sewer lines can go in (down the left side), and once those are in, THEN I can start with the foundation work, and THEN the walls can be stood ! Should keep me busy for months to come. Anyone interested in a good backache instead of going to the show, just drop me a line. ;-D
