As you can see along the right side of this photograph there were some pole changeovers going on at the time. More than two "planted" together (FYI...the most in one spot at one time I've seen has been four....and NONE of these healthy poles were over 25 years old! and not attributable to storm damage, etc.). I've also seen many "threesomes" like in the foreground (I'll always ask "why?" ) even having been in the utility biz for over 20 years. Some things never change, I assume! Anyway, also note the trolley line set along the unpaved road and the long brackets from the poles that held the trolley power.
