Glines Canyon substation

I had posted a picture of a pole on this line here [id=226793262]. I thought the line fed a water pump station but I was very wrong. It's the power output from the Glines Canyon dam on the Elwah river. It's providing about 38% of the power requirements for a paper mill in Port Angeles (also feeds a sub along hwy 101 outside of town). This dam is actually going to be removed soon to restore salmon habitat. It's the largest dam removal project in U.S. history. They must be planning on redoing this sub to a step-down because some of the poles along the highway have been upgraded to steel poles.

Sorry the picture quality isn't better, I need a new digital camera. I tried to get a few pics of the glass insulators on the dilapidated 2400v under built, but they didn't turn out that well
