This pair is the wood block type without the block. They are Farmer's and Batchelder's patent from 1858 (see http://www.insulators.info/articles/early/batch.htm ) One has a crack along one side and part of the skirt has been chipped away. The second one has been through a fire and the skirt area is melted. $15.00 for the pair plus shipping at cost.
