Some three-thousand footers near to my place in western NC. I have a local area topographic map and have yet to figure out, on my own, the names of each mountain. Sure, I could ask one of the neighbors, but that would be cheating ;-) My land is approx 2300 ft ASL. THe five-thousand footers are a few miles further back, and I have to be on the screen porch to see them, as they are "hidden" behind these closer up mountains from ground level.
