Here are 3 Portland electric cars shown behind the 1909 Sellwood Car Barn in Portland, OR. The car on the left is a Portland city streetcar and the 2 larger cars are Interurban cars which ran to outlying cities in the area. All the cars in that era were wooden and painted dark red and a light yellow. The buildings covered a 2 block square property and were used until 1940 for trolley storage and repair. During WW2 the building was used for storage by the US Govt. It was then converted to a plastic products factory and finally demolished in 2003.
