Just got back from our annual run to the Pueblo Chili Pepper Festival. Nice way to spend a beautiful fall morning and pick up a bushel of Colorado's best, fresh from the field, still warm from the roasting bins Anaheim Chili peppers . Nothing quite like walking down Pueblo's old main street to the sound of the roasting bins turning round, peppers popping and the sweet aroma of the roasted Chili peppers filling in the cool morning air. Wendy works to clean, pack and freeze the 15 or 16 bags, which we've learned (just about) gets us thru until next years harvest. Guess what we're having for dinner tonight. |
