Ford Automobile Assembly Line 1950 Woody Models

These either were 1949 or 1950 Ford station wagons. At any rate, you gotta imagine the sweet smell of the wood, shellac and lacquer that encompassed this manufacturing plant as the *real* wood trim was added and finished upon these carefully crafted automobiles! These "beach wagons" were a familiar sight through the 1960s. However it was some time in the mid-1950s(?) when artificial wood trim became commonplace as "siding". These later models did not require a carpenter in addition to an auto body repairman to fix fender-bender repairs, lol!
