For sale here is an interesting mold variation of the CD 102.4. The piece for sale is on the left. The concavity in the skirt has two molded "ribs" that are excatly 180 degrees apart. As you can see, when the insulator is rotated 90 degrees, the skirt appears straight and with no concavity. I believe this concavity might have been intended for a clamp of sorts, and this particular piece could even have been an earlier prototype. I've seen none others like it. The base has a large underpour, and the dome was stretched a bit thus deforming the wiregroove slightly. Lots of character. The only damage to note is an area of chipping on the wiregroove which can be seen plainly in one of the pictures. It's about an inch long or so. $950 which includes shipping. |
