You know, timing is everything. Even the gardens co-operated. The flowers were beautiful

It is funny, we live on the edge of a desert, in what is called the" rain shadow" of the Coastal Mountains, so we don't get enough rain to be able to grow grass, but we've had rain for 6 of the 7 shows held in Merritt. Again this year, the showers blew through, but never raining hard enough to slow things down. If that is the worst of our problems, we have it made

As previously mentioned, we can't get grass to grow, so we Xeri-scaped and put in a flower garden last July-Aug. This year, everything was a profusion of blooms, just in time to look good for our visiting Insulator collectors. Folks enjoyed walking through the gardens, and some even took seeds to plant in their own gardens

Special thanks to Dave Fleishman and Aidan Morgan for their constant and continued support, and to Brenda Morgan, who does love to stick pins into me whenever she can, but I can't complain, because Brenda made all those super "Insulator Show Signs" so nobody would get lost.

Everyone had a good time, including Bev and I, and we look forward to seeing you all again here in Merritt next year, Sept. 12-13 /09. CJOW's Lin and Howard Banks were here, so I believe there will be a show report appearing shortly in our favourite publication.

Thanks everyone for coming to the show. We'll see you all again next year.
