On my trip to Alaska we saw a pack of wolves that where sitting in front of their den. The Female wolf had killed a Caribou about five miles up the road and was coming home to feed her pups. She ran down the side of the man made road most of the way to get back home. Our tour bus was stopped watching the pack sitting in front of their den when the Female came running very close up to the bus.
