I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about porcelain, but I do know that this insulator is black, NOT DARK BROWN! It has micro metallic speckling, it may possibly be radio treated. No markings of any kind. Two tiny flakes off the glaze on the bottom can't be seen when this is sitting on a shelf. $20 postpaid
