Here is a pretty good looking CD 108 Whitall Tatum No. 9. I`d say the depth of color is good for this particular insulator comparing it to the average purple you find in the 9s. The condition of the insulator is very good. There is some rusty rubs in the wire groove and also just below the wire groove as shown in the photo. The rub below the wire groove may have scratched the surface of the glass, meaning that narrow line will always be there no matter how much you scrub it. The wire groove itself should clean up with a bit of steel wool. With that in mind I will price this piece well below the price guide value of $30 to $40. My price is $25 and that includes the shipping.
