Five Lined Skink

This little lizard let me get close enough for this photo before darting off the front steps and into the bushes. They are usually fairly skittish and don't allow one to approach closely. However, I have had one actually climb over my foot while I was out catching the rays. Unforch, I didn't have a camera handy at the time

Judging from this individuals rather rotund physique, it appears that it has found a steady and sure supply of tasty little insects on which it feeds. The blue tail indicates that it is still a "juvenile", and not yet fully mature.
