Really weird color for any HG. If it were much lighter, I'd call it off-clear. But there is enough color here I would say it is a sagey grey-green. Kinda looks like some of the sage and purple swirled Hemingrays of this approximate vintage, but I can see no purple. Too bad. Still, it is a really weird color for this style. I know I have never seen one like it. Script embossing dates it to 1893-4 or so. This style seems to always be beat up, but the Gods were with this one and outside of a few little picks or pecks, is really nice ! Great color, great condition. Even has some milky swirls here and there! Hard to go wrong on this one. $135 + actual postage.
